Windmill Suites Surprise, Ascend Hotel Collection, Surprise

The hotel has an upscale, modern new look with very good, cordial staff. The rooms felt dimly lit with a couple of sad-looking machines, resembling a tomb at times. However, the staff was efficient, friendly, and helpful whenever needed. The location was superb, especially for those visiting Sun City, offering convenience to shopping, restaurants, and major thoroughfares, though some construction work nearby could be a drawback. The dining area seemed temporary and uninviting despite good dishes, and the facilities were well-maintained but lacking in ambiance.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I especially loved the separate sleeping space with two queen beds. The service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to help us. While the location was great for our activities, the hotel is showing some signs of age. The dining experience was delightful, with a nice selection of breakfast items. Overall, a great value for the money.

The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms with a smart layout featuring a pocket door to separate the sitting area from the bedroom. However, there was some confusion regarding the air conditioning system between the front desk and maintenance. The rooms are large and include a small living room and kitchenette area.
